Digital Marketing & Content Creation
For the last 6 months I’ve been strategizing on how I want to take my business and online content direction. When I first started showing up online I wrote a blog updating friends and family about our kids, sharing photos and monthly updates. It morphed into “mommyblog” quickly and I started my YouTube channel vlogging our daily life as well.
I started working with brands, teaching myself everything I could about photography and videography and got more into social media. I started filming videography for weddings, working with bigger brands, taking on some UGC jobs, working with Amazon, LTK and other affiliate programs. As the boys got older my 9-5 got a little busier, I had another miscarriage and then 2020 happen. Unfortunately, I felt very creatively uninspired for a few years. Working on things here and there and couldn’t nail down where I really wanted to take things.
I had my daughter in 2021 and have been actively working with brands again, taking on more photography and videography content projects, working with new affiliate programs and overall so excited where it’s headed. For 12+ years I’ve dabbled in so many different creative fields and I always come back to film and video. Content creation, capturing memories and creating art for businesses or people are what I enjoy doing the most. They say to surround yourself with people who you want to be like and you’ll start becoming the person you want to be. So I started finding other women online and in person doing the things I wanted to do. Mainly other entrepreneurs, content creators and creative people. I took courses, read e-books and listed to so many podcasts these last 6 months, at times it got overwhelming.
It was a no brainer when I sat down June of last year to figure out what I was doing with my content creation services and how I wanted to proceed forward. My passion lies in creating connection, community and collaboration through content on film and video. I love capturing a story to help sell a service for business or a product for a client. Want me to capture a birth or a wedding as your behind the scene bestie, I’M YOURS! Do you need me at an event to take photos and videos and help you with your social media, I’D LOVE TO HELP!
My services will range, but they are all centered around 2 things; my camera and my phone. This is where I will capture quality content for you to share (or not!) for your business, or keep for yourself, whatever you’d like! I’m looking forward to the year and all the new clients we will be working with!
You can check out all the services and more information HERE - Feel free to reach out and inquire if you have an idea or question on something, I’d love to chat more on how we can work together!
After I nailed down the business side I wanted to figure out where my creative personal side still fit in and how I was going to share that, after all, that’s how I got started and still love sharing. I started removing my kids from being so present in my online space back in December 2023 and this last year have shown less and less of them. I feel like I have a great handle on how I like sharing them in photos and videos that makes me feel comfortable (at the moment) and will continue to do so in that way.
My Instagram won’t change too much, it’s very much a lifestyle focused vibe so I will still be sharing how I currently do on there while also adding in more of my client work, BTS on how I’m running my business, working in corporate and mom life.
YouTube is coming back baby! When I was in full “mommyblog” mode I vlogged a TON and that was all shown on YouTube. I had taken a step back from YouTube while I tried to figure out how I was going to share our life and take my kids lives more OFF-LINE. I have sense found other moms who do this so effortlessly I know how I want to do this myself. YouTube to me is my video diary for my life and I’d like to keep it like that. I plan on doing 1 to possibly 2 videos a week that will be vlogs. Think “week in my life” or weekend vlogs” or if we are traveling somewhere then perhaps a dedicated travel vlog. Still sharing my life but more about me and my point of view and less so in my kids. I personally love watching longer format video like this than these short 90 second videos on IG and TT so I’m excited to bring this back!
Lastly is my blog, I will still be writing blog posts as I see fit on topics I want to as it’s still a fun creative outlet for me. I’ve also added in a newsletter, and in a format I think will be exciting that people will want to read, or that is the hope at least! It’s called The Sunday Social Recap. It will go out on Sundays and it will RECAP of things from the week. The focuses will be about things that I did that week on Read, Eat, Chatting about, Admiring, Playing. I want it to be like if we were having coffee and talking about these things on a random Sunday morning together, very casual, very random, very Chelsea! The goal is to have it go out weekly and be something fun to do. You can subscribe HERE if you want to get the first one that goes out today
I’m so excited for all these changes, for my business and for the fun creative projects in the works! After years and years of creating content online, I’ve realized the things I love most are documenting with my camera and working with business and brands to bring people together. Afterall, aren’t we are just one big pile of humans looking for community in each other?
